50/50 reflectors????

when i was looking at an itp C6 at a gun show it had a half textured and half smooth reflector, the beam was simply awesome. however when i ordered one online it came with a full OP reflector.

at that same gun show but a different booth there was an Olight that had a half and half reflector....whats the deal with these?

are they recent changes to brand new lights? or is it a trick vendors are using to impress people and sell more lights? i ended up selling my itp to a friend but if i could find a way to get one of those reflectors id probably buy another one

I think O-light uses them, but I'm not quite sure.

They're meant to clean up the "cree-rings" that occur when the XR-E LED is used in a smooth reflector, and still provide better throw than fully OP reflectors...
