Brighter LED Flashlight

Hey All! I am very new to this world but am eager to learn. I have to build a lightsaber on a $20 budget and I am using a $3.99 7 LED (I think it's an 7 LED flashlight) to illuminate the beam. It uses 3 AAA batteries and I am looking for a way to make it brighter to better light up the blade. Is there a cost efficient way to do this or am I stuck with what I have. I would have made it from scratch but the $3.99 flashlight made more sense than the $1.50 bright white LED. Thanks!

Nothing you can really do with it. Better to start off with a nicer light, and go from there.

Yeah, getting rid of it is the best way. and then...get something else

I'd start with a Solarforce L2 and...maybe an XP-G drop-in...

Its hard to tell how to mod it without some pics of the light. Disassembled as much as possible.
