I have a custom 7 xpg-r5 light I built and I shorted one of the led and it went poof. When I ordered them from cutter their was only one r5 bin but now there is two.

All the letters and numbers are the same in the description except to. One has a 1B0 and the other is 1C0. Does anyone know the difference in the two? Also does anyone know which one they sold first because I am pretty sure I ordered the first R5 bin.

These are the 'binning' codes used by Cree to indicate the 'colour tint' of the light. For more info visit the Cree website and have a look at the binning pdf,
hope this helps :)

I placed a pre-order for R4 bin (R5 bin was not available on pre-order). We received R5 bin instead (tks Cutter). These were definately some of the first ones available. The colour of mine is more neutral than white and therefore closer to 1C bin than 1B. Best if you confirm with them, but as far as I remember they were not binned for colour temp in the original roll.
