Stanley 5 watt LED Vs. Streamlight Stinger LED HP

I realize that I am comparing apples and oranges here but aside from one of my HID handhelds the Stinger LED HP is probably one of the brightest and tightest lights that I have. Today I picked up the Stanley at Wally World and after playing with it tonight was somewhat impressed. It's not amazing and like others have said, for $40 it's pushing the boundary of it's value. So, I decided to set up the Stinger Vs. the Stanley to see how they compare. I don't recall what the Stinger is rated at, I believe it's right about 200 lumens and 48,000 candela. For this comparison I made the Stinger as tight as I could (rotated the head to spot).



Stanley is the one with the red light of course, I have to say... they are different creatures but with the Stanley at $40 and the Stinger at around $100.. for pure light only, not taking into consideration usable life, build quality, etc.. the Stanley does a good job running against the SL...
