Sure you can find it. Even smaller AND brighter
Like L3 Head, 1100 Lumens.
But its a bit of a work and will cost you a lot!

But, I dont know if you can compare oveready lumens with 4Sevens

I don't think so. Its been estimated that the S12 puts out well over 800 lumens OTF at startup. I'd say a tad north of 900 or so. But that moodoo head is delicious...

Do we have any tests on that? That it is over 800lumen that is.
I compared SF 6PX and s12 with 120Lumen setting and SF was WAY brighter. It felt like the low setting was on 60lumen or so.

How are you comparing those lights, and yes there have been many lumen tests that have showed that it is in fact over 800 lumens at start up and it can STOMP any stock SF that I have ever seen.

Surefire L4 65lm on left - S12 120lm on the right. The S12 beam is more concentrated and I feel like L4 beam have the same brightness.

Go to ElektroLumens and look at Wayne's new EDC-XML. 1000Lumens (don't know the OTF rating) Length 5"3, head diameter 1"5, 1" body di and tail cap at 1"2 inch. Runs off one 18650 3.7V LI, 20mm colimator with 6degree beam. Super hard HAIII finish. On/Off and Momentary on settings only. Wayne's creations are top notch!

I think the best way to demonstrate sheer brightness would be to do ceiling bounce photos of each. The S12 looks much brighter to me in your photo.

What is the approximate run time on the EDC-XML? The S12 uses a 26650=3900 MAH. EDC-XML uses a 18650=2200-2900 MAH ?
and how many modes does the EDC-XML have?

1 mode at 3 to 4 amps. The runtime depends on the battery but obviously less than an hour.

Good tip!
I did and it looked almost identical.
I am confused...maybe companies measures this in a different ways.
Compared those two the Inova X03 (supposed to be 83lm) and all three seems identical with the bounce test.

Hey guys, just caught this thread.

My triples have tested at 826 Lumens out the front from a NEUTRAL model.

The Cool models are about 100 lumens more.
