Bored on a Friday night. Having a few pops. Figured I'd try to figure out how to take some beam shots. Given that I live in the middle of nowhere in Maine its pretty dark. Figure these might be of some help to people trying to compare lights/dropins.

The outdoor pictures are set to ISO 800 I believe. Everything else was auto. I am not much of a photog. The tree I tried aiming at according to Google Earth is 105 feet away from my deck. I sat the camera next to the lights and had them all on high/turbo. Sorry if they are a little grainy. Camera used was a Canon SD1000. Fairly clear skies with about a quarter moon through some trees behind me. And a racoon and a deer that both scared the $hit out of me. I almost shot them. Anyways.

Indoor Shots
Shooting at a wall about 15 feet away. ISO set to Auto. All other settings default. Sorry about the focus I couldn't always get it to focus on the hotspot, thus blurring the rest of it. I'll get better.

off topic here...but an appropriate handle their 'WebHobbit', as a few years ago I was doing some work in Indiana and Evansville was just a short distance from my 'Mythical Job Location'....

Being from Canada and a firm believer in Santa Claus (aren't we all?);

I was quite taken a-back when I found out I was staying at 'Santa's Village' on 'X-Mas Lake' in 'Santa Claus', Indiana.....surely a tale made famous by local 'folklore' (a hobbit...perhaps!)

[Don't believe me....google it-the lake looks like a X-mas tree from space!]

Best trip I ever had....and now I can honestly say ' Yes Virginia...there is a Santa Claus!'

Ya the SC60 is a really amazing light. The Malkoffs are pretty awesome but they are one trick ponies. In my set ups anyways. Maybe if I figure out that high low ring. But either way my SC60 is typically a go to for me. I mean its .2 lumens will last 42 days on that 18650 in there. I have an AW flat top in case anyone was wondering. 2600 Mah I believe. The Quark Turbo is also an excellent light. Kind of excited/intrigued by that brand new one with the XML. The Streamlight TLR1S is also amazing. Runs on 2 CR123's and lights up a huge area with a great hot spot. I've never tried the SFx300 but I cant imagine it being any better.

The amusement park there used to be called Santa Claus Land....a few years ago they renamed it "Holiday World".
