Hi, I'm a bit new to this and I've had a look search round for answers before taking the plunge and making a new thread.
I got a couple of surefire G2's, one with an aluminium bezel so I'd thought I'd boost the light output a tad. I opted for the Dereelight 1SM Cree XP-G. The drop on works fine in my Solarforce L2 with the outer spring on, in the G2 with the outer spring on the drop in will work if the tailcap is screwed all the way in, but the tailcap button won't work. Without the outer spring on it doesn't work at all.
The Dereelight website is a little confusing on this issue, it says if the drop in works with the spring on - don't take it off. Very helpful.
Anyone got any advice on modifications, or has anyone else had the same issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW if I am being completely dim on this, please feel free to fill me in.
