that I'm aware of SureFire use the same TIR optic for all the current TIR based models such as the LX2, E2DL, X300, E1B, E1L, E2L, M600C, M300A, LM1, LM2...
The optic is retained by the forward section of the bezel and it is focused by the act of screwing this section into the rear section which features the LED and electronics. There is a natural sweet spot for each LED/optic pairing and SureFire assembly staff do their best to find this before the threadlock sets.
This is why theres a small gap between the two sections as the threads have to have enough travel to allow for natural variation.
But also the beams will vary from individual pairings etc
