Jetbeam RRT-21 Freaking Out

I have loved this light, up until now. The control ring seems to be freaking out, and now the light is completely unpredictable. All kinds of weird brightness/on/off/strobe/sos coming out of the front on every different combination of settings.

Are the infinite control rings known to be this unstable?

Actually, the control ring should provide years of reliable use. Sounds like a defect. These lights are new enough that you should be able to return this to your dealer for a quick exchange.
