I bought a leatherman s3 at marshals yesterday and I like it but i would like to increase the drive current and possibly upgrade the led to a xpg r5 or a xml. I can't figure out how to take apart the head and I don't want to damage it. What is the maximum amp draw from a cr123a or a rcr123a?

i don't think you can, i have this light too, the driver is pressed and glued into the aluminium pill, how the led is secured to the same pill, i have no idea, stainless steel bezel looks to me like press fitted or glued over the pill and it holds reflector and the lens.
i didn't find easy way to take the head apart.
