Fenix tk21u2?

Alright i got my fenix tk21u2. I put some 123 primaries in it and have been checking it out. Now my question is, would this light be any brighter if I had an 18650 in it? Or does the voltage regulator keep the output constant with all battery types?

The light rocks no matter what batteries I use.

Mine seems the same with 2x cr123 or one 18650. There has to be a thread somewhere, maybe in the Reviews forum, that has the definitive answer.

Thanks for your help on this. I just wanted to know if I should just genome rechargeables or stick with my primaries for now.

I've also used 2x RCR123 [3.6v each] and it seems to be about the same. I never did a quick battery swap to compare them back to back though.
