By having good deals in their own sub-forum it is easier to find good deals. I have a bookmarks folder named CPF that I drag all of my favorite sub-forums into that way I can find what I want quickly.
It used to frustrate me as well, but if you look at all the activity on all of these forums you realize that if it was all lumped together there would be a staggering amount of threads posting constantly. Total chaos.
CPFMP is a different website/domain/server. Good news is that they are usually not down simultaneously for maintenance so I can still get a fix when one is getting a make-over.

Saw that advertised at a deal site I try to visit daily - but that's pretty much the price you can get at Amazon and it qualifies for free shipping. REI makes you pay another $5 for free shipping.
