I started a post a few weeks ago on the 1000 lumen G25c2 version 2 from Eagletac, and looking for stuff to post about it I noticed a pattern starting on Eagletac's website.
A little after the original G25c2 came out, the T20c2 got upgraded to a U2 emitter instead of a T6, and they were billing it at 750 lumens. I can't check now because the version 2 is out, but I bet they even had the same circuit.
The G25c2 and T20c2 use the same 1x18650/2xCR123 battery configuration, so there is no reason why there shouldnt be a ~1000 lumen version of the t20 coming out soon.
Anybody agree?

I think the G25C2 should probably be able to run on turbo 1030L without overheating due to its larger head, fins and its overall thickness, but looking at the T20C2 I dont know that it would be able to dissipate the heat if left on turbo(1000+L) for any significant length of time. But I certainly could be wrong. They would probably have it drop down to a lower setting after 3-5 minutes if they did produce a 1000L version of the T20C2. The T20C2 is a nice looking light though, and I'm now unfortunately tempted to buy one! It would be very easy to get the Sunwayman T20CS mixed up with the Eagletac T20C2 due to their almost identical model numbers.

I don't think heat will be that much of a problem.
I have a T20c2 with the 500 lumen XP-G S2 emitter and when I have left it running 20+ minutes the head dosen't seem all that much warmer than my hand when I touch it. If they are putting out 400 lumens in a 1xCR123 light in he D25c with the capability to do 770 down to about 500 in 19 minutes as Selfbuilt tested, 1000 lumens in the T20 wouldn be much of a concern to me in terms of heat.

Eagletac still relies on LED lumens for advertising, and the ones that are in the initial ANSI cheating time period.
The higher priced models have a higher profit margin, so ET wouldn't undercut themselves.

13% less weight & less heat dissipation ability means that the T20C2 can perform as well as the G25C2. If you cook the LED in a D25 cheapie, then even better for ET is you buy another.

My G25C2 handles heat very well, but my SWM T20CS doesnt, and thats why I thought the ET T20 might not be able to handle 1000+ lumens without getting real hot, but then again, if ET has built the T20 as well as they designed the G25, then maybe it can handle the heat!
