this light refuses to die....at least in my hands....
it started life as a ShiningBeam Romisen II. But before Christmass I had to cannibalize it for the whole pill to fix a cousin's mangled up G2. So I was left with a bare pill.
A Cree XT-E R2 NW LED was added
And I had to trim a DX25505 driver down to 15mm
Pill -with homemade insulator- installed
Damn I know this GITD o-ring is off but I lost the original. Till I get a proper black one i will have to compromise on the looks.
Driver Performance.
This driver goes direct drive with a Li-Ion battery. I measured 1.39A out of a Trustfire 14500.
Another Greek modder uses it for XM-Ls and is getting 3+ Amps!
Beware...ii will get crazy bright but I do not know the limits of the original switch.....
