First the clip had to be bent to match the 1 inch od of the body. I made a little jig and pressed it in the vise. See the slight curve on the top.
Next I took the tailcap apart.
clamped the tailcap in the mill and drilled/tapped one hole for a 2-56 bolt
Rolled the tail cap and drilled the second hole.
Tapped the second hole. VERY easy to tap a 2-56 threaded hole in aluminum.
Put the clip on and tighted down the screws. Here it is next to the Old Style MD2 and Tail cap Malkoff used to sell. That body/clip have been my EDC for years.
I carried this all day today and I love it.
