I'm contemplating purchasing the Olight S10. I couldn't see a voltage range on their site so I was wondering if I can use 3.7v RCR123's ? If so, what rechargeable would you recommend? Since the S10 is getting kind of old relatively, Is there anything similar/better currently out there? I love the side switch and the magnetic tail. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I currently use AW RCR123's in both of mine. They work just fine. I've used the Nitecore ones as well and they work fine. You should be fine with either of those, and for the money the S10 is a hard light to beat.

What charger is recommended for these?

I thought I read somewhere that you can't use the Intellicharge i2 or i4.

the olight s10 baton has just about the best regulated circuit on ANY cr123/ rcr compatible light. you can use rcr with no issues at all. ive been using aw branded rcr in mine. from memory eagletac rcr DO NOT fit... maybe wrong though.

EDIT thanks lightmyfire for confirming it does fit (eagletac)

No idea where you would read that. My i4 charger works just fine.

i think he may mean because of the charging rate used by the i4... if not used in the correct manner/slots you will put a charge rate of around 750mah into an rcr.. thats going to be hard on an rcr (most are around 500-600 capacity) it will be above 1c... so is NOT recommended. maybe he read that somewhere.

EDIT !! http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...battery-recommendations&p=4234322#post4234322 maybe its not 750 overall
