Is there such a thing that allows you to rig up a regular tactical flashlight for head-mounted use = hands free operation? How sturdy of a mount is it? IE - ability to hold the light in a fixed aim position without moving while on the move (hiking for example)?

- Nite Ize NPO-03-01 Headband/Hands-Free Flashlight Holder, Black

Here's the Fenix and Nitecore mentioned above, the two best I've tried. The Nitecore is better with smaller lights, at closer ranges, if you wear eyeglasses, and for portability but the Fenix is better for larger lights and throwers... IMHO

I use that Nitecore strap with a Xeno E03.

Great combo. As a matter of fact its on mein kopf as I post. I was just down in the basement digging around.

Plan on getting the Malkoff strap as well and giving that a try. I dont like side-holders like the Fenix. If I need extreme throw Ill use a handheld. My Xeno with a 14500 gives me ALL the oomph in a headlamp I'll ever need anyway.
