Nitecore EA8 Problem

I purchased a EA8, I4 Intellicharger, and 8 Eneloop AA batteries from Battery Junction. The light functioned as it should. I charged the batteries, reinserted them into the light and now the LED will emit a very dim light. All functions(Strobe, SOS, Beacon) still work but the light output isn't noticeable unless looking straight at the LED. I have replaced the batteries with non rechargeables with no success. I have tried using a paper clip from the battery to the body, but I still get the same outcome. Any information is greatly appreciated.

It sounds line you've done what you can diagnostically, even using another set of cells. It's probably safe to say that you're experiencing a true malfunction and should probably return the light for another.

I have an EA8 (for 3 months) and luckily no issues with it yet. Yeah, you should send it in.
