You might, depends on vf of your particular red LS.
In your previous post on Red LS DD? , I posted the results of trying to DD an amber HD LS. I tried 1x123 w/ 1ohm resistance first, then tried DD. I had my LS well heatsinked. Success!
Results with a Red LS should be similar. Note that a low-dome typically has a lower vf than a high-dome. Always best to be well heatsinked to check the current, in case it's high just for a second.
