Does this technology exist on hand held,s as yet or just on Head Lights.?

There was a guy on here that was making flashlights before any of the headlamps were released. I can't think of the name though, so hopefully someone else chimes in.

Petzl has some headlamps that do it. They look cool but I've never even looked for them as when I'm using a headlamp I usually don't want a real bright beam, I use a princeton tec quad.
