For those of you that own the DQG Spy, the biggest criticism is the beam, there really isn't any, complete flood with no hot spot or focus. So I went hunting for a tiny lens. What I actually came up with was a 10 mm laser lens from one of those Chinese everything electronic on-line shops (i had to order 20) but I found one that fit the front, along with some optically transparent cement, did some serious collimating and gives it a beam, not a really tight beam, but a significant improvement.

I've got 19 left, so for those of you willing to help cover my cost, you can have one, just send a self addressed envelope, with postage and two bucks to cover the purchase and shipping and one is yours. Email me for details.

Nice find!
Do you happen to have any beam shots with the lens also pics of how it looks like on the light?

Any units left?

@THE_dAY: did you try hwdsndf's improvement?

No I didn't try it, as I don't have the DQG spy.
I was just curious on how the lens would work on another small light, the Quantum D2 but decided to pass on the offer.

It's been a while but you can try emailing him.
