A2 Aviator Bulb Life

I just got an A2 Aviator and wondered if those of you who own the one can tell me how long the incandescent will last. I know this light has a soft start, so the lamp should last longer. Is it 20-30 hours or only a couple of battery changes? Can any of you comment on how rugged it is with respect to the light being dropped? I've had mixed results with P60's and was wondering what I can expect from the MA02.

I've put about 40-45 batteries through mine. I stopped counting but kept on using it. The bulb still works but has discoloured a bit. I swapped to a fresh bulb and the beam isn't significantly whiter - it just made me feel better.

Because it's lasted so long I've only had the experience of one MA02. Your experiences may vary but I continue to be very impressed by the workhorse A2.
