Swapping ni-cad batteries?

Okay, this isn't about flashlights but I have a question about ni-cads.

My cordless phone came with Varta Accuplus rechargeables; 1.2v 750mAh ni-cads (AA). I'm thinking of upgrading to some hi-cap ni-cads. I think RS has the 1.2v 1200mAh versions.

Will this pose any problems to the phone or to the charging process? Will the charger be able to recognize the new hi-cap batteries?

The new cells shouldn't make a difference, as the voltage is the same...Your phone will last longer between charges, but also will take longer to recharge...

P.S. I was thinking of moving this thread, but will leave it, as batteries are peripherally related to illumination devices...
