9 Volts for a SF KL5?

Will a KL5 run at 9 V without the heat problems of the L4 at 9 V? Will the bigger head size aid cooling?I want a longer runtime,is there a better way? Is it even adviseable?

The KL5 is meant to be run on 6 volts. Do not run it on 9 volts. I called Surefire Customer Service about this when I got mine. I had bought a C3-HA in advance, thinking of doing the same thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If you need extra run time, carry spare batteries or get the L6. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
