It appears streamlight does not change their part numbers when a new model comes out, they just discontinue the old model and replace with new style. I went to streamlights website and got the part number for the stinger hpl with piggyback charger. I ordered it online, and there was no picture from the site I purchased from. What arrived was the old model. Is it worth returning to get the new hpl model? This one says 350 lumens, and the hpl has 740 lumens.

I would definitely return it. You didn't get what you ordered. Based on what I've seen online (not in person) you will get similar throw, but with a larger hotspot due to the added lumens. Good luck.
