Adjustable focus from one of the big companies?! Incredible.

Unfortunately just playing with the light its going to be a pain to mod...

Might not even be mod-able...Taking it apart is the biggest challenge.

I love how its a 26650 light!

I hate how in stock form it only works fully zoom in for flood or out for throw. The intermediate positions are pointless. Flood is perfect. Very soft even light not like a mule. Throw focus great but has rings artifacts. Not bad outdoor I am sure but on a white wall its annoying.

Stock UI is pretty good. DriverVNX2 is a must though. Much more lumen and I like the UI more...How open is the question...

I always say that anything can be accomplished with just these 4 tools:
Hammer,
Vice-grip pliers,
Duct tape and,
Credit card.
Use the hammer & Vice-grip pliers to dismantle, then Duct tape to repair, and finally use the credit card to replace the item that you just royally screwed up!

I thought we already had the perfect flood to throw light that works on a 26650 battery - the Z1vn. . .

There are somethings about the Z1vn I actually like more but most importantly less artifacts and a full range of zoom usefulness. The Fenix is of course much higher quality.

Still cant get it to open...Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
