My first-run LS started flickering when I turned it on and randomly while running awhile ago but I finally got a digital camera to take a movie so I could show you guys. The batteries aren't depleted, when it isn't flickering it is as bright as normal. It seems to do it with both my CR123A and brand new NiMH cells.

Any chance this is the old flex failure problem and I just never used it enough to experience it before?

The contacts are all clean and it has never been dropped or anything.

Here is the video, it might take a few seconds to start up:

It kind of stabilizes after a few seconds in this clip but it flickers just like that sometimes while having been running already for awhile.

First guess is a bad Kroll (if it has a TSP).
That would be a better option than the rest...

Don't have one of those, just the original 3 twisty packs.
