Hey CP I've started researching flashlights to fill the niche of a general purpose/car camping torch to compliment my floody headlamp with something with more throw. I'd still like a moderately useable beam and not one of those ridiculous lightsaber lazer pointers.

I've put together a list of requirements:

2000-4000 lumens
350-600m throw
21700 battery/18650 compatible with adapter
CREE XHP70.2 LED (seems to be best and most current)

I prefer a side click, but tail click is not a deal breaker if the above requirements are met
I prefer water resistance over USB port charging
Cool looking aggressive machining is icing on the cake
A diffuser to make it a lantern would also be cool.

So here's the list of contenders so far: (I'd appreciate any feedback or other suggestions I haven't found yet.)

Acebeam L30 genII
Fenix PD40R V2.0
Klarus XT21X

Jetbeam TH20 Guardian

EagTac G3V

PhotonJunky, welcome to CPF

I have an Acebeam L30 (first gen) that uses a 20700, without question can fully recommend the light.
Having two lights that genuinely wow me, the L30 is one of them

that said, the G3V looks very nice.

I recommend the Olight Warrior X pro; 2250 lm, 600m throw, (60° spill) 21700, no USB port. Imho, it's a walking light in a flotilla of floody working lights
