SO17XA old vs New

Will the old SO17XA work like the new one? I'm planning on putting it in a longbow micra/mini. Is there any difference other than the legs on the new one.

You will need to remove the lower portion of the "skirt" on the old style to get the reflector down and seated on the LED.
