When a Xenon lamp assembly is still putting out a decent amount of light but the center spot is starting to go brown ?

Not sure what slang you lot use but here are a few more terms:
Knackered. Busted. Broken. Dud.

That's why I asked, The bulb was still clear . It just started to get more and more brown in tint.
I trashed it and replaced with a new white bright lamp.

Off topic, but I enjoy learning the finer aspects of international slang. I understood "duff" but never heard "knackered", however it does sound like what it means.
With our diverse culture, at the CPF, it can't hurt to expand our knowledge of the rest of the world. I'm headed, straight away, to the Cafe to post on this very subject. Cheerio!

No, "knackered sandwich" does not make sense to me.
"I am knackered" means "I am really tired" or "I'm beat" I guess Americans would say (?)
Also, it can be used to mean broken "my mobile is knackered" means "my cellphone is broken"
