Arc4 + lens protector

I want to get opinions on whether I should use a lens protector or not. I used the origional for a while but it is not as flawless or bright as it is without one on. I have asked for some new ones but wonder if they are worth using. It seems a shame to distort such a perfect beam.

Unless you really really need the toughness of the original lens, I'd suggest installing a UCL lens from flashlightlens.com which will give you a perfect beam that is up to 7% brighter than the original lens. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
