Nichia S rank LEDs

Hello

I just found some nichia S rank , B color rank LEDs on the german Ebay (search for LEDs and you'll get 6500/9800 mcd LED)
They are 8000 mcd typical and 9500 mcd max.
I paid arround € 54 (47 dollars) for 20 LEDs.
Is this a good deal and are these LEDs much better than the 5600mcds ?

You can also look at the webpage www.go-led.de , take LEDs, 5mm and white. They have a super detailed datasheet!! (same guy as Ebay)

PS: The numbers of the LEDs are NSPW500BS-sel.BS. Does is mean they are S rank in brightness and B rank in color?

LOCO is more like it.
If you feel like you spent too much, I'd be happy to buy some from you!

Sounds like a GREAT deal to me. And I'm serious about lightening your load...

I wouldn't drive it any higher than 20mA max per LED. As the LEDs get warmer they suck more current without getting brighter. When they suck more current they get hotter....

After awhile they are really hot and drawing a lot of current, then they start dimming.

Hook up as small (like 0.1 ohm) resistor in series with the LEDs so you can measure the voltage across the resistor and calculate the current. You'll see what I mean.
