(Apologies in advance if this isn't the right forum, I'm spanning a few topics.) I'm looking into making a lighted Halloween costume this year out of an old tyvek bunny suit; stuff I have onhand includes a few LED turboflares, safety flashers, $1 countycomm lights, etc, but I'm looking into doing something more customized.

Because of my inexperience, it would have to be plug-and-play or suitable for a beginner-level (I haven't touched a soldering iron in years).

Specifically, I'm asking for ideas on:
1. Ways to string LEDs (or even incandecents) into a suit
2. Ways to incorporate EL wire into said suit
3. Good sources for materials for both

Any advice you could offer would be appreciated.

Thanks, Joe

Check out the neon purse thread posted by GotCoffee. gregw provides a link to an EL wire site. Looks really interesting.

Thanks...does anyone know how elwirecheap.com stacks up against other EL suppliers? I saw the scare sheet on coolight.com and am wondering if there's any difference between the different brands.

I put a glow light in the forehead of a witch mask one year. Down town the adults thought it cool. (And to get such a comment on a Chico City street is doing something, there are thousands of them.)
I had to take teh mask off when around kids because it scared them to much.
