I'm going to assemble an IR pointer with a 1w 808nm 9mm diode, and I'm wondering where I could find say a leadlight body, circuit board, and 808nm diodes at?
I want to sqeeze what I can out of it, do you think a 2w diode would fry in that body after a few seconds at full power? Remember there is going to be no crystals, just an 808nm diode with proper collimating lenses.
