5 minutes after it was turned on it became sort of bothersome to hold it. not quite painful, but my hand was heatsinking a lot more heat that it is used to. I was wondering if this is normal and whether the electronics are slowly roasting in their own juices?

thanks,
Leon

O focurse it will get warm. It is a small light and 667mA is a lot of current. Even at the stock 330mA it will get warm eventually.
To reduce the heat build-up try holding it in your hand firmly to use your blood as a liquid cooling mechanism ...

350mA is warm.

667mA is hot. The LED produces more heat, the driver the light uses is rather inefficient above 400mA (resulting in more heat), and the battery produces more heat. You can count on it being a good amount hotter than a stock LS.
