Hi,
I know there are some colored lens cap or filters for flashlights.
I'd like to know the precise functions for every colours. For example green, red, IR, etc.
As I often reach amazonian and african rainforest, I'd like to know if these filters can be useful for me.
Can you explain me their function in detail? Are there some
online review?
thanks

red is for preswering nightvision, IR is for NVGs . Red would be the one you are looking for...

Red - preserves night vision
Green - seems the brightest due to the human eye being very sensitive to green light
Blue - enhances contrast; used by hunters and EMTs because blood usually shows up better under blue light
Infrared(IR) - useful if you have night vision equipment which can see IR
