just ordered some 750ma r123's
Am I gonna fry my Q III when I put them in?

If you search you will find a whole thread on the QIII and rechargables. Lots of good information.

By the way, I also carry a QIII with a rechargable and works great!

Very definitely not. I find the QIII and the R123 rechargeables to be a dynamite combination for an EDC light. I have even used two R123's in the QIII's bigger brother, TM116X, and have seen no problems there either even though it's pushing 8.2v rather than 6.2 (of course, the LEDs may suffer a bit, but there's certainly no problem of frying things at the outset).

After you use R123, is there a problem if use CR 123 ?
I think there was a thread about it, anybody remember ?

Besides less brightness everything should be fine.
