I was trying to buy some NSPW510BS's (50 degrees) from for a good price. I told them my use would be for reselling.
They said they don't allow it.

I was going to buy them at 1.10 and sell them for 1.25-1.50.

I see them sold on the web so I don't understand.

Should I just go ahead and do it? They will see my website then put me in jail?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Where is the best place to buy the Nichia LEDs?

Also, why are they so popular being so unfriendly (no samples, etc)?

What is the closest LED compared to the Nichia?

My question I guess was: what if I went ahead and bought a bunch and started reselling them to hobbyists at a cut-rate price.

I bought mine directly from Nichia America Corp. on line. It was a couple of months ago, and I had to "register" (no biggie, no spam and I don't recall supplying any info on what I wanted them for.) My first order was for 5 to make their $25 minimum- got b2Ss. 2nd order was for 15 to get price break. They came b2R. I understand a lot of component mfgrs are charging for samples now to defray costs.
