anyone make a Q3 battery extender

does any one make a cell extener for the Q3 so that you can either use pila 168s or 150s?

on a side note, do you have to change the led to run a rechargable cr123 in the Q3?

That same ebay vendor had a black 2 AA adapter for sale as well. He machined them himself so supply is limited.

WRT the R123 question, it would depend in the Vf of the Luxeon in the light, however the lowest Vf that you will probably see in a stock QIII is a J (and that doesn't happen verry often), which in my light runs just fine using a R123, its the H Vf that wouldn't be able to handle the extra voltage, but your unlikely to find one in a stock QIII. So the short answer is yes you can run the R123 in your light.
