Can some one point me in the right direction

I've been thinking about doing the mag85 mod and can't seem to find a good thread explaining how do it. I've used the search function and manually looked as well.

Also is there a RS bulb that be used instead of the wa1185 bulb?

Basically you need a UCL or Borofloat lens (flashlightlens.com), an aluminum reflector (try Group Buys (fivemega or modamag)), a 9AA-3D adapter (again, Group Buys) and a bulb. Looks like fivemega is out of 9AA-3D, but you can also use 3AA-1D x 3 if available.

You can get a potted 1185 (fivemega) or a regular 1185 and some way of doing a bi-pin mod. Either order a Mag Charger bulb holder and replace or I think there is a new hi temp holder. If you use a Mag Charger holder, you probably want a mica shield as well.

Oh, and a Mag 3D.

what bulb should be used for 8 Nimh AA in a 2D mag?
I was hoping this bulb could be bought locally without modding the bulb socket.
