I just picked up a Princeton Tec Blast on a whim. It is a great little light.

Anyway, I was looking at the lamp module and I realized that externally it was identical to the LED module of the PT Attitude. So I dropped the LED module from the Attitude into the Blast and sure enough it lit right up. I am sure this is old news and the output was decent but nothing to write home about. I think I'll call it the Blastitude. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is anyone else doing this? It should be fine to run the LED module on 2 AAA rather than 4 correct?

hmmm.... I wonder if PT would sell me one of the LED modules from the Attitude.

Not old news but not suprising. You are underdriving the module considerably, perhaps if the resistors in it could be bypassed, 26k LEDs put in and 2 lithium AAAs used you would have a tiny light.
