Is there any worthwhile hotwire mod for the larger Mag lights? I keep eyeing the 1/2 D cells & wondering what kind of monstrosity I could come up with. Might make a good use for the charger from my M6R.

down the road from Pleasure Point.
You can always stuff it full of 1/2D's and run a long life 100 watt bullb it for an hour...

I think yopu could also use alkalines are DD a Lux V or use a nice converter to run various Lux III and V lights for a really, really, lond time...

Or imagine a buck-regulator to run a single 5mm LED for a really really really long time...

2 sticks of 5 half D's will get you around 12-14 volts easy.
Basically a 12 volt light is what you would end up with.
Then it's up to you on what you want to do with the business end of the light.
An mr16 lamp perhaps.

I made a 6Dmag mod using 8 x pila 150s'z in two strings of four. Running a tri-lux III setup.

Haven't had to charge it yet and it has been going strong for a LOOOOOONG time! :)

MORE..MORE!!

I need ideas for my 14 year old 6d.

It's old and battle scarred, but not ready to be retired.
