Simple way to mod E2E tailcap to 2 stages

Hi , I have aleph2 light which I think it seem to be short for my hand when I use it. I connect Aleph2 head to E2E body, clicky tail cap version.

For a long time use with DB500 mA and one stage switch is too bright for my close up work. I decided to modify E2E clicky to 2 stages switch. I think 60 ohm is suit for my use with 1223a*2 battery and Db500 engine.

I divided switch's connect plate to 4 pieces for each current contact as show in picture. (divided again to 4 pieces)



I put 2 pieces of 120 ohm resistor for parallel to 60 ohm between opposite pieces.

I cut tail body as see in picture.



So you can turn on by click switch and adjust brigthness level by simply twist tail cap.

Now, I can go on with 2 stages light.

Could it be done with other clickies?

I didn't mod with other clicky yet. SF thread is good quality for use this method. My friends use this methods for QIII to 3 steps selecter, but he make between body and QIII's head.
