I am wondering if anyone can tell me what are Surefire O-rings made of? For example silicione, rubber, etc.

Reason being I am wondering if it is safe to use silicone grease to lube the o-rings. Note: Maybe it is too late for me to ask as I have been doing that for a whole year. :ohgeez:

Its made of rubber. Not only is it safe to lubricate them with silicone grease its recommended by surefire to be done on a yearly basis.

Probably made of buna or viton.

Buna: polymerizing butadiene

Viton: flurocarbon elastomer
