I'm looking for some self powered (or not) speakers I can mount (tape/etc) to my bicycle. I've got a good loooooooong ride coming up, and I want some music. They need a standard minijack input.

I tried headphones, but don't like the wires.

I wana see pic's when its done...

What is your music player?? if its small with a mini jack, it wont have a amp, so you will have to go powered...that way you could CRANK out the volume from anything... ipod ect...

Small powered computer speakers would work just fine...I have bar clamps to help you mount to you bar, if needed...you could even run a hub dyanmo into some caps, to run the whole thing...they pump out 6v 500ma...I have used them to recharge batterys on bike tours...

food for thought...

good luck

I have a speaker set made by Panasonic, the RP-SPT70, that works pretty well. 6 volt (4AA) and I think close to an amp of output. It's all one piece and might be easy enough to mount to your handlebars if you don't have a light there. Unfolded, it's about 6" high, and 12" long.
