Anyone out there come up with a good way to mountin a truck [classey] the surefire-E2,A2 and hopefully today the L2 ?? I bought some mag light holders but they've started too crack already! any help would be greatful.

twofish cycleblocks is what you want. do a search for twofish.
there was a recent group buy on these.

twofish blocks are highest quality and most durable mounts for lights available. only one's better are custom bike light mfg's mounts.

The cycleblocks work great for mounting to a bar (they're for bike handlebars, after all). But for a flat surface, boat supply stores have these rubber blocks with screw holes intended for mounting oars and nets, etc so they can be removed quickly (like the mag clips).
