Yowza!!! That was fast! Usual cast of characters, I see. Hmmm. Now what to do with the $500 bucks I just saved by not seeing this sooner........

Oh wow - I (as well others) sure missed the boat on these!

Looks like some more fine work from FM and Mac!

These are by far, the most beautiful lights I have ever seen. There is a great thread about them here. I have been bugging FiveMega almost daily about getting one of these since seeing that thread, and Mac a little less frequently. IMHO, FM's price/value on these is the best deal I have ever gotten here on CPF.

The 24K Gold model is one of the most beautiful things I have in my home (as far as something manufactured, that is). Words do not express the rich, deep Gold color, smooth highly polished contours, and superb craftsmanship...except to say this light could easily sit in the Smithsonian Museum to be widely admired. It really is that special. The Green is also stunning as the photos show below.

OK, then as if the 'work of art' appearance is not enough....you turn it on. This Welch Allen 10W HID light when focused back (so the bulb is protruding almost all the way forward) provides a laser like, precise beam with incredible throw. The 6500K color temperature leans toward that slightly bluish white LED color, so it really is amazing when shining up into the sky. The FM3H head is such an excellent choice with this light. Mac does deserve a lot of recognition for working his magic on putting these together...and I'm not really sure how much of the handle he might also have done.

With the 3 x 18650's (Protected), the 10W ballast is overdriven to about 14 watts, but still lasts about 90 minutes !!! It weighs about 2 lbs., which is just shy of a 3D Maglite. This is indeed the Jewel of California, as FM describes.

Ok Lux I'm drooling.
Huge Thanks to FM and Mac for making these available!
I feel like I hit the lotto for being online just when these came available.
Can't wait to get mine.
How does the saying go...?

Lux - Congrats. Those are beautiful lights indeed. Would I be correct in assuming that the green is one of a kind? The color looks very similar to one offered on the 1970 340 Cuda.

My colors are not that flashy. I picked up a red to go with my black Ellie. Not a HID but it is set up for 18xAA so it too can shine.

Enjoy the lights. Kirk
