I love country music, but dont care much for the CMA awards, or local country radio.

I guess I'll have to stick with my Sirius Roadhouse and old vinyl records. I havent liked much 'country' music since the late '80s...

I with you on this one. Too many good artists can't get mainstream airplay just so some polished Nashville acts can make millions.

Compared to most other award shows, I thought this one was great. They use a very high proportion of the show on performances, and keep the awards to just the right amount of time. And they avoid a lot of the pablum non-entertainment material that you get with other awards shows. Country isn't my primary music interest, but I thought this was a great show.
