My prayers go to you Paul Walker and your friend. Thank you for raising funds in your Charitable organization going to typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines.
Re: FCW-10 / Flashlight & Camping GET TOGETHER October 3rd-6th 2013 NJ+ surroundingst
Am now in your local area. Even 6am is still dark. :D
Driving to Niagra and Toronto tomorrow back friday night.
I just want to greet you a Wonderful Birthday!
You know more about torches than me but.. as youre looking for someting different to what you already have, what about getting one of those modded ones? They will be a a lot different to the usual offerings in the shop and what you have isnt it...
I'm interested to hear other opinions on this, as I too am looking for a better option.

Both lights below are off the shelf and these suppliers usually deliver within 14 days. Both are short of your desired 1000m though. I also dont own any of these torches but I can sail and have sailed in Asia at night. I can imagine your predicament with bamboo and fishermen lines inshore. The...
I run both trail and road.
Just take the H51f and save some cash.
I have a H51 and H51f and they are sufficient enough for the not so very technical trail I run.
Although H52w has more lumens should you want it.
Above lights use AA's.
I have a Princeton Tec Fuel and its good in the rain. As per post #2, it runs on 3 AAA.
I assume your choice of batteries is due to weight. I doubt it if youll feel the weight difference in what you will be using it for.
I have just purchased the M6 from the manufacturers site.
It now comes with XM L2. This will be my biggest thrower yet. :grin2: ...
Now priced at $39.00
Re: FCW-10
LOL
If the marathon course heads south and starts on friday, I can make it Saturday morning.
Am willing to road test any new headlamps friday night.
Re: FCW-10
Hi folks
I will be in your area on these dates but unable to join. I will be running in the ING NYC Marathon on Sunday Nov 3 and will be picking up my race paraphernalia on the friday or saturday.
Would have been able to meet you guys if it was the following weekend.
Although I use my headtorch mainly for running it came very handy last weekend while watching an outdoor symphony orchestra concert. It illuminated the picnic blanket while slicing the King Island camembert. Also used the strobe during the finale.
I also run.
I use 2 types of H51 from Zebralight but they are now outdated.
Have a look at their H600w/H602w range and theres one to suit you. Their high of 970 lumens OTF goes for 2hrs.
Very light (pun intended) in weight.
