Photonfantic & Aosty: You two guys could possibly swap to make 1 Raw Ti & 1 Raw SS. This would help me & one of you to get a complete Ti now.

Okay, I am a *******.... mine is ti/ti. Fred agreed to swap rear halves and I was doing one more test tonight... just to make sure... ...glad I did! The first time I did the magnet test, I was in a hurry and used a pretty powerful magnet and must've not realized the friggin battery spring was still lodged in the rear half!




Of course, that's the one time the spring didn't fall out!

I realize this thread is very old by now, but wanted to contribute anyway. Picked up a Raw Ti from Marketplace not too long ago and just performed the magnet test as outlined by Rob in post #1 of this thread. Mine is definitely one of the S31 stainless ones machined by mistake, both halves in fact.
